Accepted Students Reception
On April 1, we receive from Alumni Hall the list of area students who have been accepted to UVa. Each year, students from area schools are accepted both regular and early admission. In April, the Club hosts a reception for all accepted students and their parents. We always have a fantastic turnout of alums who meet the students, answer questions, and do a great job generating excitement about attending UVa!

The Jefferson Book Award
Each Spring, the club presents the Jefferson Book Awards to area high school students. The Jefferson Book Award was established by the Alumni Association to recognize outstanding high school students during their junior year. The award is presented to the student who best represents the Jeffersonian ideals of scholarship, leadership, and citizenship.

The Student Send-Off Reception

Middle Tennessee's UVa Class of 2014

Each August, the club hosts the Student Send-Off Reception for all incoming and returning students and their parents. The incoming first years are able to meet one another as well as get to know other Nashville-area upperclass students. Everyone is always excited to head to Charlottesville to start the new school year!

Bill and Sandra Earthman hosted the Class of 2014 Send-off Party on August 4. Fifty people were there—including new students, current students, alumni, and parents—to meet each other and talk about the upcoming year. Thirteen Middle Tennessee students are heading to U.Va. as First Years this fall. Thanks to the Earthmans for their hospitality!
