The UVa Club of Middle Tennessee is a non-profit organization which thrives and depends on hundreds of volunteer hours and contributions. Your dues are used to offset the numerous expenses associated with running the club and promoting the University to the Middle Tennessee area. By contributing, you help the club to become stronger and more active, so that we can better organize and host more programs that are of interest to our alumni. The UVa Club of Middle Tennessee has two primary goals: fostering alumni relations and promoting University awareness.

Alumni Relations
The Club strives to foster relationships among local alumni and provide a lifelong bond to the University through social, service, and cultural events. The Club also provides networking opportunities for alumni and gives alumni new to the area a way to feel at home and make local connections. Activities include the Cavaliers Care service project, a Holiday Party, gatherings to watch televised Virginia sporting events, and other social events throughout the year.

University Awareness
The Club works to raise awareness of the University among local high school students and seeks to attract and encourage the best and the brightest students to attend UVA. Each Fall, the Club participates in college fairs and an Admissions Information Session where local high school students and their parents learn about UVA from a panel of alumni and a representative from the Admissions Office. In the Spring, Club members make congratulatory calls to newly accepted students and host a reception for the students and their parents. The Club also presents Jefferson Book Awards to students at awards assemblies at several local schools.There are many ways to get involved , so join the Club and celebrate being a wahoo!
